Empires and Allies Building Guide

In this Empires and allies guide, we will be discussing about the 5 different types of buildings in the game. All of them are equally necessary for the growth of your empire.
They are Housing, Military, Government, Industry and Decoration.

1. Housing

In Empires & Allies, Housing is one of the most important and fundamental structures. Constructing them, will increase your population. You can also make coins from these houses by collecting “rent” from these houses.

The more coins and wood you spend on making these houses, the more effective they are. That is they provide with more population and also give more coins. But as the amount of coins received from houses increases, the time duration before which you can collect again also increases.

2. Military

Your agenda in empires and allies, is to be a powerful Empire. You need a military to be powerful and dominant. You also need a strong military to defend against powerful enemies.

This is where you need military buildings. You use them to make military units. They use all kinds of resources. You can make Land, Air and Sea military units.
There are different structures like Barracks for Land units, Hangar for Air units and Shipyard for sea units.

3. Industry

To run an empire you will need resources, the more resources you have the faster your empire will grow. Industry buildings will help you acquire all these resources required to develop your empire in empires and allies.

You can make Farms that make coins, Markets allow you to trade with your friends. With Lumber Mills you can buy contracts which help you gain wood. Oil Wells are used to get Oil. Ore Mines are used to get Ores. Build more of these to gain more resources. The more you build and manage the more resources you will be able to get.

4. Government

Government buildings are used to increase the population and generate coins. For these building to function, you will have to staff them. You can use your empire points to staff them, or you can invite your friends and staff them.

This is just like CityVille. The more friends you have, the better your empire functions.

5. Decoration

Decorations are there only for decorative purposes. They don’t contribute in anyother way. Some decorations are like roads, pavements etc which can be used. Some like statues and fountains are purely decorative.

Constructing these buildings is fairly easy. Select them from your building panel and place them wherever you want to build them. Then you need to click on them three times. This is  how buildings are made in Empires and Allies.

Thank You for reading this Empires and allies guide, I will be covering more topics soon !

Empires & Allies Military Unit Strategies

Empires & Allies is a game of managing your resources. At the beginning your resources are limited. Plus, you can’t really do much with that much energy. You should first try to build up your army before you go into battle. Use the strengths of the units to win your fights.

Your army must have the right balance of land, air and water units. You’ll need all three types for the campaigns. Unlike in invasions where you can choose what type of unit to place in the battlefield, campaigns have required unit types.

Don’t forget to manage your economy. Be sure to have enough coins, oil and ores. Coins are farmed through Farms. I made it a point that the number of Farms I own is half of my total Energy. I found this formula as the most profitable one. Oil is pumped from Oil Wells and Ores from Ore Mines.

A strong economy is important if you want to have a big army in Empires & Allies. At the start, make sure you build farms and oil structures so that you can afford to make Vintage Tanks. This would be an advantage for you if you want to start invading your neighbors.

You can only mine one type of Ore. You can get the other types from your friends through gifts, purchase from their market or invading their ore mines. Be sure to complete the early Missions to earn Ores that are needed to make more advanced units.

Once you have unlocked the higher level industry buildings, exchange your buildings for them. They yield more production than the level-one structures. Another way to collect resources is have friends playing Empires & Allies. Visiting your neighbors’ empires lets you farm for resources once a day. You can do five tasks per neighbor per day. You’ll collect resources without wasting Energy points.

When you have a steady flow of resources, you can start building your army through the Barracks, Hangar, or Shipyard. Once the units are completed, you can place them in your empire or store them by clicking on the X icon found at the lower right, just on top of the map.

Units in storage can still be used in battle but you don’t want to have your buildings left undefended. Store the military units when you don’t have room in your empire for them. Expand your property when you have enough coins and Liberty Bonds, which could be gifted by friends or received as reward during campaigns.

You can start by producing Cadet Soldiers and Cannon Artillery. You should also have enough resources to make a Vintage Tank. Try to build enough units for the campaigns before going into battle. As you progress in the game, make ships and air units. Keep your army as balanced as possible.

Barracks, Shipyards and Hangars have three levels. The Level 2 and Level 3 buildings unlock when you reach a certain population level. Barracks II requires 700 population, which makes it the first building upgrade that a player can build. It costs 4,000 coins and 400 wood.

Be a Good Neighbor in Empires & Allies

Treating your neighbors well in Empires & Allies can be good for you in the long run. Everyone loves a good neighbor and below are ways in which you can be a good neighbor in the game. These will make you a strong player in-game.

Defenseless Resources

You could be a good neighbor in Empires & Allies by placing your industry building grouped together without any defense surrounding them. This way your neighbors can invade them for resources that they need at a time. This is a way to increase your XP as well as resources without wasting military units.

Before you open up your resources for invasions, you should make it clear with your neighbors of your intentions. You could send a message to your active neighbors that your resources are defenseless and if possible they use low level units to invade.

When invading an area that doesn’t have any defenders, the invader will fight against two low level military units. Tell your friend to use two units during their invasion. That way you will not have a hard time fending off the defenders.

Now this would be beneficial to both the invader and the defender. The invader will have resources that he needs as well as infamy points. On the other hand, the defender could gain XP and some resources when repelling the attack. The best part of it is that both of you will gain XP and resources without using a lot of energy. You and your neighbor will not lose a lot of military units through invasion because the defense is light. After repelling the attack you will receive more bonus items.

To maximize this strategy in Empires & Allies, group each industry building together. Keep away the defenders to allow the invaders easy access to the resources. You could teach your neighbors about this technique so that they would also implement it in their empires.

Visit Your Neighbors

Another way to gain energy points and resources in Empires & Allies is to visit your neighbors and tend their empires. This can only be done once every 24 hours. You will know if you can tend to your neighbor’s empire if his portrait at the bottom of the game screen has a lightning icon.

You can only complete five tasks in your neighbor’s empire. If you need coins, it is best to click on government buildings that you are a staff of. Tending trees is better than saw mills because cutting down trees gives you heart, coins, and wood unlike lumber mills that only give out heart and wood.

Marketplace

Make sure to check out their market. This is one way to help your neighbors earn coins and you gain resources or military units as well. You should also place ores in your marketplace. Take note that players produce different ores. You might have an abundant supply of uranium and your friend is looking for some. Make sure to keep your market supplied with your excess resources.

Empires & Allies Level One Shipyard

When you unlock the Level One Shipyard in Empires & Allies, makes sure that you have enough coins and Liberty Bonds for expansions. Expand your empire right away because Shipyards and the sea-based military units would take up lots of space. All the water-based units take up 2×3 squares.

Empires & Allies

With the overwhelming recognition of Farmville, Zynga has just released another game that is now taking social gaming by storm. The empires and allies was unleashed by the said developer last May, hoping that it could also be at par with its other games.

Unlike its precedents, Empires & Allies requires more strategy and of course more interest in brawly pastimes. When building your empire, it would be like starting from scratch since the “Raven” obliterated your old empire. It’s your job as the head of the island to build more houses and empower your men so you can expand and conquer other island-nations.

The goal of the game is to defeat other military forces and gain control over the world. Of course, this could never be possible unless you win battles. Creating alliance with your “neighbors” or friends would be a big help in putting your plan of domination into action. It would be either they try to negotiate with you and compromise or they do it the hard way.

Indulge yourself in this story-driven battle as you try to jump from one island to another. In order to prepare your men and military forces for defense, you can build more army units. You have to give your armies powerful armaments which you can upgrade at the Research Laboratories. The more enemies you defeat, the more attack bonuses will be unlocked for you. Recruiting your friends to be a part of your squad is also one of the best options that you have. Keep in mind that your enemies can look for allies too in order to defeat you. Neighboring empires, when defeated, will also earn you rewards as well. The Infamy Points which you can utilize in the future.

And it’s not just your adversaries who are trying to stalk you and waiting for their chance to attack your nation. You may also encounter the most exceptional villains at the same time including Captain Krunsch. So make sure that when you try to sail from one territory to another, your men are well-prepared so you can crush these villains up to the ultimate battle.

Most games that’s as exciting as this often requires membership and recurring charges. But Zynga made sure that everybody will get to enjoy their strategy war game. You can take advantage of the Empires & Allies anytime since this is actually free. However, there are some items that can only be bought using the empire points. You only have 15 complimentary empire points. This means that if you really want to thrive in the game then you have to use any of the available payment methods to purchase your empire points.

If this is your first time to play a war game that truly requires tactics and quick-thinking, you will be guided by Scarlett. Just like most leaders, the character will serve as your military advisor so you will know how fun it is to build a new empire inspired by thirst for power.
